PDF Estimate Analyzer
Upload an adjuster's PDF estimate and BizPilot will analyze it line by line — identifying what's missing, what's undervalued, and generating a supplement email ready to copy and send.
What the analyzer does
When you upload an estimate, BizPilot reads the Xactimate line items and compares them against a complete scope checklist for your roof type. It flags:
- Missing line items — things that should be in the scope but aren't (step flashing, drip edge, ice barrier, O&P)
- Undervalued items — where the adjuster's unit price is below the Xactimate database or market rate
- Code upgrade opportunities — items required by current IRC that weren't included
- Estimated recovery — a dollar estimate of the total supplemental opportunity
It then generates a complete supplement email you can copy and send directly to the adjuster.
How to upload an estimate
- 1In any conversation, click the PDF icon (📎) in the message input area.
- 2Select your PDF file — or drag and drop it into the chat.
- 3Wait 10-30 seconds while BizPilot analyzes the estimate.
- 4Review the gap analysis — missing items, undervalued items, and estimated recovery.
- 5Copy the supplement email and customize if needed before sending.
Reading the results
The analysis is structured in three parts:
1. Missing items
Line items that are completely absent from the adjuster's scope. These are your highest-priority supplements — items the carrier should cover but didn't include.
2. Undervalued items
Items that are included but at a price below current Xactimate pricing or market rate. BizPilot shows the current correct pricing and the delta.
3. The supplement email
A ready-to-send email that organizes the missing and undervalued items, includes the total supplement request amount, and uses professional language specific to the carrier.
If the analyzer misses something
The analyzer is thorough but not infallible. If you notice something it missed, just tell BizPilot in the conversation:
BizPilot will update the supplement to include it with the correct Xactimate code and language.
Supported file types and limits
